Thought-Provoking Questions on Luke 1-7

  1. God's Preference for the Overlooked: Across these chapters, God announces His plan through an elderly, barren couple (ch. 1), a young unmarried woman (ch. 1), humble shepherds (ch. 2), and even a Roman outsider (ch. 7). Why do you think God consistently chooses the "unlikely" or marginalized to reveal His kingdom, and how might that reshape who we see as "qualified" for God's work today?
  2. Faith as Bold Surrender: From Mary's trusting "Let it be" (ch. 1:38) to the centurion's humble authority (ch. 7:6-8) and the sinful woman's extravagant tears (ch. 7:37-38), faith here looks like vulnerable action amid doubt or shame. What risks does true faith demand in these stories, and where in your life might God be inviting a similar "surrender" that feels impossible?
